Description
Climbing is only permitted in the designated "Climbing and Rappeling Area". Climbing at such areas as Old Man's Cave or Conkle's Hollow is prohibited and subject to a hefty fine. There are no bolted routes or anchors, setting a TR is mandatory.
Getting There
Depending on where your intentions are, the drives are different.
More information is available on the Hocking Hills State Forest website.
The nearest town is Logan. There is a parking lot for the designated area past the Conkle's Hollow lot on Big Pine Road. Cross the road, find the green bridge and hike up the hill. Register to show area is used. The tallest climbs can be found at the far right end of the climbing area. For the least strenuous access take the flat trail to the right that follows the stream.
