Eldorado Chuy
Jan 12, 2025 · 1 pitch. Lead / Onsight. That flake at the bulge on P1 is gonna blow any second. Would land directly on belayer. Can be avoided with some care, take your time.

Nov 12, 2024 · Lead / Onsight. Great addition to the wall. Some of the better climbing at the grade in RR. Will clean up nicely. Very friendly bolting- comfy for the new multipitch leader. Could link pitches if you’d like. Did as a night climb with Shea- hiked in around 6pm and out around 7:30, led all three pitches. Engaging movement all the way which can be rare at the grade. Starry top-out, bright moon, still and calm night- walked off with a full view of the moonlit canyons

Fear of Flying
Jan 15, 2024 · Lead. Took a funny whip 2/3 of the way up by hopping for a jug that was no jug. Logged some air time for sure! Clean falls, great line. Climbs somewhat like the grail out near Vegas. Felt correct at the grade- great feet everywhere and you can cop a shake pretty much anytime you like. Shoulda flashed but hey, now I just get to enjoy it again sometime!

Yankee Clipper
Jan 14, 2024 · Lead / Onsight. Incredible day with Nate, Laura and Shea! Highlight of the trip! Both parties swung linked leads til the final two which we pitched out individually. Sent everything clean. Pretty chill double rope raps with two 70’s (7 total)- take care not to knock loose rock off the very top and off the ledge above P8 (best to saddle-bag til the top of 6). Laura lead the charge on the raps, Nate and I simul-rapped to follow and Shea cleaned up the anchors and flew down. We hit a nice groove and took about 2.5hrs total to rap- rope only got stuck once and Shea climbed up about 25ft to free it before anyone could blink. Only thing I would change is to skip resting on the big lunch ledge and just burn it to the top of P13 to rest in full shade cuz BOY that sun’ll scorch ya! Quick grade thoughts on P15: squarely 12a climbing. There are about 4 hard moves- yes they are thin, yes they are sharp, but I’d be hard-pressed to say they’re harder than V4. I could buy the argument that it’s a hard 12a but it’s just not sustained enough to clock in at 12b. It felt pretty standard for 12a on Mojave Limestone which I’m pretty familiar with. Don’t be afraid to give it a swing if you climb the grade! It’s not often that you get a chance to rip like that on a sheer face with solid bolts 1,500ft off the deck!! ;)
