Look for rocks to sling on pitch 3, not sure if I would call them chicken heads, more like beautiful granitic plates. This route will blow your mind. Green lichen, perfectly sculpted holds. Climbing doesn’t get much better than this... in my experience thus far Trad 5 pitches Southern Arizona > … 1 > Sheepshead Area… > Sheepshead
5.6 4c 14 V 12 S 4b 332 ● Led by Sheep Dec 14, 2021 · TR. Did this tr solo as a third so we could bring my buddy up as his first multiple pitch rock climb. Was inspired by the story behind the first ascent. The mountain goats do indeed know what’s up. Props to them for doing this route solo. Was not the easiest 5.6 I’ve ever been on :-) we are nothing more than sheep ascending a mountain. Remember that when thinking of trying to place a grade on a climb. It’s all for fun. No one really gives a shit about how hard you climb. Just be safe out there. Will try and do better about this, I have done a lot on my to do list. Could chat it up with you for hours about climbing, this climb specially rad classic. 10/10 would recommend.
