Aug 18, 2021 South-W & Tacoma > Southwest Cascades > Mt Rainier NP > Mt Rainier > Liberty Ridge (AI2-3 Steep Snow) This was the snow and ice we found on the upper ramp May 30, 2021. Route desc. calls it "exposed snow/ice faces up to 60 degrees". Photoshop measures it at ~42 degrees. Camera leveler confirmed horizontal is flat. May steepen later season though. ● Looks pretty damn steep to me !! View Comment
