I am a recreational climber that likes to take it somewhat easy. Pushing my personal limits is an occasional high, but I am into climbing more for the freedom and solitude from the general public. I enjoy climbing with other like-minded adventurers. If you climb for the pure joy of seeing the world as only we can see it, we would get along fine. If you climb SIMPLY for the high of bagging that elusive 5.13b sport route for bragging rights, we probably wouldn't mix well on the crag. Don't get me wrong... there is absolutely nothing wrong with pushing your limits to become the best at the sport you can be; kudos to you for that. For me personally, that strive a few years ago took the fun out of climbing for me, and at 40, increases the risk of an injury that will end climbing all together for me. The perfect climb for me is a multi-pitch 5.7 or easier trad route that offers spectacular views that can only be seen by climbers like us. For the love of nature, and the mountain. That's my adrenaline rush!
