If leaving from Urubamba, stop at Llamapack hostel just outside the city to grab some supreme beta from Coqui who was one of the fathers of most of the bolting in Sector Pachar. About halfway or fifteen minutes on your way from Urubamba to Ollantaytambo just after The Devil's Curve (the bottleneck in the valley) take a hike over one of the two bridges across the river on your left. The entirety of Sector Pachar runs along the cliff on the South side of the river in between these two bridges. Bolted routes range from easy moderate to harder project routes in the 12-13 range. Please respect the local farmers and houses that you must pass to get to this beautiful climbing and don't forget to stay a night or two at Llamapack hostel as well thank Coqui and his wife Alejandra for the incredible work they do in the Sacred Valley.

The Pachar sector is the best place for rock climbing in Cusco, and is in the middle of Sacred Valley. Some of the climbing reaches 700 meters high with many granite cracks with potencial for traditional climbing. Some sport exists, inclduing two multipitche routes between the grades of 5.7 to 5.12. The Sacred Valley of the Incas is best for climbing from march to november. Both Ollantaytambo and Urubambama (both moderately sizes towns) lay ten minutes away from the different crags within Pachar.

Drive one hour from Cusco to the sacred valley Towards Urubamba. After arriving in Urubamba take some form of transportation towards Ollantaytambo. Immediately after the Devils Curve (La Curva del Diablo) there will a straight away with one bridge shortly followed by another. 100 m from the pachar bridges, across the farm fields lies Sector Pachar.
