The main bouldering area. Comprised of a handful of massive boulders and many smaller ones, this contains most of the developed problems at the Garden.
The story is that the boulders prevented access to the trees here so the logging company didn't clear it out. Luckily for climbers the old trees provide plenty of shade and a great atmosphere. There are two trails which lead uphill from the road into the boulders. The right side trial is the main trail and it leads to most areas including Toilet Bowl, Boys in the Woods, Methlab, The Good, and Azain. The left hand trail enters right next a large tree and leads to areas including Fight Club, Mini Me, and Undertow. There is also a trail which enters from the uphill side off of a gravel road which leads to the back side of Azain.
Off of Quatzville road 3.5 miles from highway 20. The boulders are just past the third gravel road that you'll drive by and are visible from the road in a dense cluster of trees. The best spot to park is in the gravel pullout on the river side of the road just before you get to boulders. Do not park on the gravel forest road - it is privately owned and blocking it has threatened access in the past.
