Eric Wallace Hok Leung Meyer | Sep 26, 2024 · 1 pitch. Lead / Onsight. Simul’d the headwall in 1 block w/Caber (1hr 30mins). Lots of slab down low; great rock once gaining the ridge start! Went on the right side of the first headwall; extremely runout but maybe 5.6. Second headwall had slightly gritty runout stemming until you gain a beautiful handcrack in the V notch. Once at the upper ridge we unroped and tandem solo’d with Ella and John. Super fun!!! Immaculate rock and exposure/setting. Our roped section was decent… but the ridge proper is special. 1hr 30mins of unroped climbing; 3hrs total from base to summit; 1hr approach and 3.5hrs for summit/descent = just under 8hrs camp to camp. Descended to the east. |

Caber Russell | Sep 26, 2024 · Follow. Simul climbed with Eric from the base of the slabs to the top of the headwall in one long pitch in 1.5 hours. Then we unroped and soloed the ridge in another 1.5 hours. Approach took an hour, descent took 3 hours. Very fun chill day. |
Paul Coutinho | Aug 20, 2024 · Lead / Flash. Phenomenal positions and views, a super quality ridge! Might have missed proper lower slab start position, but definitely happy to have a rope for what we did. Gain ridge as soon as possible and route-finding is cake after that. 4-person party traverse, fun mountain times at their best |

Soloable approach slabs?? |
Kasey M | Aug 18, 2024 · Solo. Climbed this August 17, absolutely beautiful line. I agree it's somewhat longer and harder than Matthes. Plan was to simul it but my partner wasn't feeling good on the approach slabs, so I ended up soloing. Even with rope, it would be heady - lots of exposure and not a lot of pro, though the climbing felt pretty secure. I descended down the steep gully just E of the ridge, which was really easy down-ramp barefoot walking, and super direct to get to the rope left at the base of the climb. The hardest down climbing was the approach slabs - though other times of year this probably won't work because the granite ramps will be wet. Found an ice axe on the descent. |

Andrew B | Jun 22, 2024 · 11 pitches. Accidentally started up slabs without roping up. Got stuck and had to aid down on a #0 Z4. 7 pitches to headwall (could have been less probably with a bit of simuling). 4 pitches of simuling, could have been 3. |
Payton Thomas | Jun 22, 2024 · Lead / Onsight. w/ Andrew. 7 pitches to gain the ridge proper, 4 simul pitches to summit. 9 hours on route. Headwall was mostly 5.0-5.5 with a 5.7 crux. Ridge was 5.3 or below at all times. |

We went creek to creek in 4 hours exactly. 2h30m creek to summit.
Solo is a great way to climb this one if you're okay with exposure and route reading. |
