Apr 17, 2024 · went up and down "Procrastination." car to car 3:39. summit to ski hut 12 minutes and seven seconds. some guy skied almost the same line down while I was going up. he was super nice he stopped and talked. the glissade down was so fun!

Apr 6, 2024 · took the easy way straight up to the west rim. chill, but I was tired from running earlier in the week. it was hot and often overcast but the blue sky broke through a handful of times. Went down the same way.

Apr 6, 2024 · Solo. Climbed with Billy. No ropes. Took the easiest way up on the right side of the bowl. Perfect conditions. Felt very casual. Other lines up looked fun, some might want a rope and 2 axes/tools but most looked easily soloable with 1 axe.

Mar 29, 2024 · Solo. 4:30 c2c. Straight up the Strava segment of the bowl. Gets a little interesting thru the rocks near the top. Really firm almost névé like snow. Calf’s were burning front pointing at the top. Big wind job on top. A fun morning.

Mar 26, 2024 · climbed hour glass by myself. first test of legit boots with crampons. mountaineering boots: much better than hiking boots. glissaded down something that was too steep, tore my pants and ripped a micro spike. it was my like arresting until I was tired, stopping, recouping, and arresting down again. nice and fast though!

Feb 16, 2024 · climbed right of Schitzo Alley and left of 3-pin. prolly topped out closer to Schtizo. Met Roland up and Brent down. Amazing first time on baldy and in the bowl. glissaded down with Brent near the climber's left side.

Feb 11, 2024 · Lead / Onsight. No wind, no clouds, last snow was on the 9th, not too much. started on trail at 0430, got to ski hut about 6. It was still dark. Started up bowl (3 pin alley) at 0615 and got to summit about 0900. Back to car about 1300. Boots up to ski hut, could have put on crampons closer to the hut but decided to push on to save time. Snow shoes up the first half of the bowl until we hit a plateau. Second half started with snow shoes but grade was too steep and couldn't maintain traction, had to switch to crampons mid slope. After summit descended down the Baldy Bowl Trail. Snow shoes were too big for boot pack and was really easy to trip so I took them off and just went in boots. Descent in parts was too steep for snow shoes so plunge stepped down in boots.

Feb 18, 2023 · Estimating the date here. Took a steep chute with Michael Rothberg and Joey. Probably the most fun I've had going up baldy. Tons of snow everywhere, we broke trail up this chute. The less fun part was seeing two separate people go careening down the bowl today. I think they were both okay, but there were a lot of deaths/accidents on Baldy this winter.
