Description Suggest change

The name was inspired by the uber classic Idroman in Brione to which this little CO block shares likeness. This is not exactly the mystic river that is the Verzasca, but it is a treat in the Front Range nonetheless. Start with your left hand on the slopey, crimp sidepull and your right hand on a good arete feature. Stand up, and slab walk to the top using the arete as needed. This is the easiest + most obvious way up and makes for an entirely pleasant experience; however, there's potential to front load a lot of difficulty and not a lot of quality if one so desires.

I went out of my way in Brione to climb Idroman (as should you), and I remember that experience more fondly than most of the hard stuff I climbed on that trip. I'm adding this to MP, because sometimes it's nice to have reasons to get excited about climbing easy stuff if enough boxes are checked. Although there was no chalk on this thing when I climbed it, the rock is beautiful - there's no shot one of us has seen it (it is 20 feet from another developed boulder and 20 feet from the road) and hasn't been compelled to slide & shimmy up it. Please let me know if you're aware of FA or OG name, and I'll update.

Location Suggest change

From the pullout, walk east along the creek for roughly 150 feet until you reach a crossing to a chalked boulder cluster containing The Hatchet. This boulder problem is facing east and sits on the road side of the creek.

Protection Suggest change

One pad and a Blubber.
