Description Suggest change

What can be said other than it's a once in a lifetime climb?! As in you'll likely decide after enduring the approach to get here that you'll never do it again. BUT, because of that, if youre brave enough, this beautiful pillar of blue ice may likely be completely untouched by any other climber. Just waiting.

Narrow and chandeliery in the early season, but fills I'm nicely in the late season.

Location Suggest change

Top of the route is visible from the national forest boundary sign. Continue half a mile past this sign; past a USFS informational pullout;  see beta photo to minimize bushwhacking.

Bushwhack your way through through frozen swamps, beaver ponds, fallen trees, not yet fallen trees, across the river, into the drainage, scrambling up rocks, more fallen trees, and ice. Contemplate your life choices, climb a short section of WI1-2 and emerge at the base of the amphitheater.

Protection Suggest change

Screws.

Tree anchor at top with rings. Double 60m just touches the ground from the tree.

Flotation is necessary if you don't want to hate your life choices.
