The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description
Start below a runnel at the left edge of the cliff. This runnel is about eight feet to the left of the Milky Way groove/crack.
Climb up the runnel to a ledge then climb the arete on the right to the top.
