The two areas Jefferson County Open Space intends to close in Clear Creek Canyon, shown on the attached maps, encompass the active eagle nests. If the Clear Creek eagles continue to nest in the active nests, these areas will remain closed from February 1 through July 31. If the eagles choose different nesting sites, the closures will be adjusted accordingly to protect those eagles during their breeding season.
Currently, rock climbing areas that fall inside of the seasonal raptor closures include:
Blonde Formation
Bumbling Stock
Evil Area
Ghost Crag
Highlander
Skinny Legs
Stumbling Block
Tetanus Garden
Fault Caves
Description
Fun crimp moves lead you through a low crux that culminates with an off-balance barndoor-like move out left to reach a right-angling layback jug-ramp. Ride the rail for the mid-section of the route before reaching a nice ledge near the top and an easier finish.
I climbed the crux a couple of different ways, including a more direct "harder" way at the 4th bolt, but it probably only changes the grade by a letter grade no mater how you do it, with ~12c being the grade for the easiest beta we found.
