Looking across the highway, just beneath the granite wall, West Creek has cut into the Unaweep Canyon floor exposing the water table. The Unaweep Seep is a 79-acre is a special wetland that has been designated as an Area of Critical Concern (ACEC) by the BLM in cooperation with the Colorado State Natural Areas Program. The area is also designated the site as a Colorado State Natural Area. The Unaweep Seep is a biologically diverse, lush, but very fragile mid-elevation riparian zone that hosts a variety of water-loving plants including the rare Giant Helleborine and Canyon Bog orchid. One of a few known populations of the Nokomis Fritillary butterfly makes the seep its home. To best void the Seep, once crossing the fence, walk down canyon to where the vegetation is less to cross the streams.

Description
The full route is 10 pitches with about 200-250 feet of Class 3 and 4 that ascends Lower Broadway and the upper Unaweep Wall. Pitches 1-3 are located on the Lower Broadway Wall, and once finished, you walk right (East) and slightly downhill for about 200 feet to continue up Ancient Wisdom. Other routes on the Unaweep wall also start here.
