Description Suggest change

This route was partially bolted by Andy Fitz in 1992, and was routinely climbed to what is currently bolt 9 @ 11d. The crux was TRed but was never bolted or led. In Yoder's guide, this route was recorded as the Chartered Trips project.

After consulting with Andy, I finished bolting it 2023, and FAed in 2024. He and I agreed that the route should be fully bolted, though a mixed route with fewer bolts would have been possible.

Note: the first half of this route could be linked with Blue Highways by cutting right at bolt 8 or 9, and joining BH at bolt 2 or 3. I suppose this would be Smilo-Highway, and it would probably be at least 12b.

Sustained jamming/lay-backs/edging to the crux at the airy bulge. Easier but sustained climbing past 4 bolts to the top from there. Excellent rock quality.

Location Suggest change

Climb the dirty start to a ledge with the tree, just left of Central Ave.

Protection Suggest change

14 bolts + 70M rope
