Description
From the Douglas Gap, climb a well-polished 20m chimney to gain the crest of the Ridge. Pick the easiest line up the crest passing the inconspicuous Litle Tower to the vertical rocks of the Great Tower which form the meat of the climb. Go left along a level ledge about a metre wide (the Eastern Traverse) to enter the foot of a vertical tunnel formed by a huge fallen block in a deep chimney. From the top of the through route, steep but easy climbing leads to the top of the Great Tower. From the top make a slight descent and traverse the narrow crest to Tower Gap. The descent into the gap is tricky but climbing out the otherside is straightforward. Easy rocks beyond the gap lead to a final steepening, turned on the right.
