Description Suggest change

A magnificent classic breaking through intimidating slabs by an arrow-straight line: the best climb of its grade on Skye.

1. 40m 4b. Surmount an overhang on good rough (Gabbro) holds to arrive on the slab above. Continue up a thin crack in a superb position with excellent (passive) protection. A little block overhang inset by a corner is awkward; belay on the flat Ledge above.

2. 25m Continue directly up the crack and take the steep twin cracks direct (4c).

Location Suggest change

Stron Na Ciche. CIOCH UPPER BUTTRESS (The Upper Tier). A high quality steep slabby wall cut by impressive overlaps pierced by prominent cracks giving challenging and direct lines of great quality.

Protection Suggest change

Passive protection. No bolts.
