70's Bush

5.8, Sport, 50 ft (15 m),  Avg: 3.7 from 6 votes

Montana > Southwest Region > Big Sky Area > Red Cliff Campg… > Main Cliff

Description

Put on some vinyl, perhaps Marvin Gaye, pop the cork of a nice bottle of Chianti and take off your bell bottoms. The bush may be large, but it's just a sign of the times.

Pull on some jugs and work your way thru the crux at about 3/4 the way up. Start in the large spiky bush at the bottom of the route..

[Hide Comment] Pretty sweet route that starts nice and easy with big deep pockets and gets progressively harder as you go up as the pockets get smaller and there are a few small jugs and slopers. The route pretty much plateaus in difficulty about 2/3 of the way up, and maybe gets a little easier towards the top. Lots of variety of hold types, and is different than the other routes to the left where there is a low crux but the rest is a cake walk. Also tightened a bolt on this route that had a loose nut on it. Oct 21, 2024
