Description Suggest change

There is an easy line up the middle with some small bulges on either side. There is also a thin smear (mixed) that can form on the steeper rock immediately left of the main flow that goes at an moderate level.  This is a perfect place to learn ice when the hwy is open and the temps cold enough. Snowmobiling into this location in winter has only yielded a snow covered hill. Anchor off screws. In thawing conditions a second rope can be used to tie off trees further back for a TR anchor. Can hike off right side around the rocks to descend. Be careful to not knock loose rock onto the belay zone. More info available on sonorapassclimbing.com in the forum.

Location Suggest change

Couple hundred yards south west from the Sonora Pass sign right at the pass. The trail takes of to the south west from a copse of trees south/behind the sign.

Protection Suggest change

Takes ice screws, often need shorty depending on how its formed up.
