Description

Carmello is the leftmost line of the boulder. Start on two low crimps, heel hand match with your right heel, and go right to a crimp. Make a big move, and transition to a sloper. Then decipher how best to use the holds to move left on some crimps to tackle the crux of getting to the good hold just below the lip. Save some energy for the mantel topout on slopers, and look for the glory crimp back and left.

Location

It is the line that trends left on the Carmello Boulder.

Protection

2 pads.

[Hide Comment] The folks that I've seen send this one and Mellow (myself included) have started from the normal low start, not the low, low hand heel match start as described above. Starting from the hand heel match maybe adds a half grade, but it is an awkward start in my opinion. Mar 7, 2024
