Description
Caddy Whompus is one of the least-tried routes on Project Wall and for no great reason. It’s a powerful, cryptic version of the ultra-classic Waka Flocka.
Start by climbing a similar vert face as Waka Flocka (although I found this route’s start to be more involved and taxing). Enter the overhang via jug pockets, then it’s game on for 15 feet of brilliant tension climbing between small holds. Attempt to recover at the obvious right kneebar (morpho size - having a short shindex helps), then bust into a powerful, cryptic crux with typical Rifle shenanigans until gaining a good rest above the lip. Don’t punt the beautiful blue finicky headwall going to the chains.
