Colorado > Dumont vicinity > Abattoir

Description

Get off the ground with some easy to moderate slab and face climbing. Pull up under the first roof, and prepare yourself for back-to-back cruxes. The first is a hanging slab into underclings, and the second is a powerful exposed traverse right at the lip of the bulge till you hit jugs at the anchor.

Location

Up the trail left from where it meets the wall, this route goes up the left face of a large open book capped with a pair of roofs.

Protection

6 bolts to a two bolt anchor. One bolt has a permadraw to help with cleaning.

[Hide Comment] My dog buried my Micro Traxion whilst cleaning the route, hence the name. Also, there are a few delicate foot holds at both cruxes. Nov 22, 2023
