Description Suggest change

An addition to that novelty list of SB routes that require rapping in to access the belay.

Start by scrambling to the anchors atop the formation, then rappel to a semi-hanging belay in a corner. To get where you want to go, try to line up the rope with the manzanita just over the lip then lower down. No big deal if you don’t though.

The route starts after traversing off the belay and gaining the main face. Take care near the start to avoid the transition rock in the gulley, as it is both garbage and avoidable. Positive pulls, surprising exposure, and a fun exit lead you back home to a bolt on the slab above. Pretty cool!

5.10 value on 5.9 terrain.

Location Suggest change

Approach as if heading to Golden Boy, etc. The formation is directly in front of you as you hike, and the top accessible to the right after the steep scramble section.

Draws.
