Did your partner call in sick and you need to climb?  This is a fantastic ridge run for cardio junkies put up by Jason here:  https://fastestknowntime.com/route/calico-ridge-traverse-nv

This was a super fun ridge run for the "scrambling aficionado". A little bit of spice in short bouts and speaking of shorts, if you wear them, you will get trail tattoos from scrub oak and spiky desert vegetation.  Knee pads were really helpful for the chimneys.  I brought climbing shoes and chalk but never used them.  Trail runners all the way.  The most challenging was the final Point 4,708 with a fun finish up a chimney then a scramble on the slippery-er white sandstone with a couple chicken heads that looked like they could pop off.

Go south to north and CCW.  There are summit registers on Red Book and Red Cap Peak.
