Description Suggest change

A fantastic via ferrata in El Chorro that ascends a small mountain at the end of the Frontales ridge. Overall a relatively easy climb, the route does have some challenges. Very early in the climb there is a strenuous section, but after that, the climbing becomes more mild. The zipwire is fun and a pulley (like Petzl Tandem Pulley) is highly recommended. It is possible to handline the zipwire with carabiners but it is extremely difficult and you'll chew up your carabiners and hands. Routefinding is simple and most of the route is protected although with typical via ferrata, falling would always be dangerous.

Location Suggest change

Find the church on road at the base of Frontales and take the climber's trail up to the base of the cliff, find the base of the cliff and walk along it until you see the via ferrata staples. This climb starts between the Castrojo and Los Albercones walls.

Protection Suggest change

Staples, zipwire, cable v-bridge, double-cable bridge
