Description
A WI3 into WI4+ ice climb that can be top roped from above using a tree, snow picket, ice screw anchor etc. Use some ingenuity and common sense to keep your top rope not running over any sharp edges. A long static rope for anchor material may be wise. Be careful of the creek and the downclimb to the top of the falls. A 70m rope works for a top rope.
Location
Just below the Clear Creek Falls overlook just east of White’s Pass. Coordinates: 46.65598, -121.35142. Park near Dog Lake as the Overlook itself will likely be snowed in; the approach it about 10 minutes and involves some bushwhacking. Descend from the overlook parking lot to above the falls. Set up top rope or rap down from here.
