Description Suggest change

A powerful, highly enjoyable extension to the classic traverse on tick boulder. Start with your left hand on the right start hold for Kiss the Prow  and your right hand on the sloper/side pull on the edge of the boulder. To get off the ground, obtain a satisfying toe hook/foot jam inside the abyss. Make a couple of powerful moves to a left side-pull on the tick boulder proper. Move down into the main line and finish the route.

The problem was named for my friend, Emma, who generously let me borrow her crash pads to keep climbing when she had to leave for work. Also, for Emma's Goodies, the premier youtube baking channel...

Notes Suggest change

  • Detailed photos of the route + a video of me climbing it have been uploaded for clarity.
  • Grading: this extension adds about a grade to the original line. Since consensus has put the original at V5, I have put this at V5+ to avoid sandbagging people while acknowledging that this is a bit too soft for a V6.
  • This was covered in moss and not obvious, so I feel reasonably confident that no one's established this line before. However, if someone has, I would be more than happy to give them credit.
