Description Suggest change

This route ascends a series of long ladders up the Cima SAT. There are several ladders broken up by some ledge traversing and steep hiking. The route gets a Via Ferrata grade of 3C, which felt about like a 5.4 multi-pitch trad route.

While the climbing on this route is not difficult, the approach from town is quite steep. The trail is in good condition and well marked, but the hike from town to the start of the cables is actually harder than the climbing. Still well worth the effort though.

Location Suggest change

This route goes up the Cima SAT in Riva Del Garda.  On the hike up check out the Bastione di Riva, an old Castle.

You can paste the below address into Google Maps to get to the start of the hiking.

Circonvallazione, 22, 38066 Riva del Garda TN, Italy

Protection Suggest change

A giant cable that you clip into, and your Via Ferrata Lanyard (don’t just clip in with a couple slings. If you don’t have a proper lanyard you can rent one in Arco).
