Description Suggest change

I’ve looked at this line for the better portion of my life. Everyday throughout middle and high school I’d be outside on the football field and gaze up towards the Moonrise Boulder. It seems fitting that I got around to doing this thing just a day before leaving Colorado to pursue climbing goals in other areas.

Walk Two Moons begins from a stand start on crimps: your left hand on a super small, incut sidepull and your right hand on a crimp about 6 inches to the right. Pull on, and do a wide move right, then utilize the corner to reach a sweet right pinch. A big move leads to better holds through the middle. As the ground drops away, the exposure becomes noticeable, and a very sequential sequence leads to a small rail. Take a deep breath, and execute the stretched out finish to jugs at the lip, followed by an easy rollover.

This is one of the most spectacular highballs I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t fall after the jug crimp about 12 feet up, although I’ll be back to build a better landing for this line and the other two projects (which won’t help much). Enjoy!

Location Suggest change

It is the most obvious, center line on the boulder. Start standing on edges, and move into the beautiful dihedral.

Protection Suggest change

As many pads as possible, spotters, and confidence.
