Grayback Crack

5.8+, Trad, 95 ft (29 m),  Avg: 3.7 from 13 votes
FA: unknown
Colorado > Colorado Springs > Old Stage Rd > Grayback Peak > Grayback Wall

Description

Grayback Crack is the long, vertical crack that starts off of the slab. The crack starts as tight hands but soon widens to hands, big hands, and fists. It is possible to use face holds to keep the grade down and any OW technique at bay. This line is a real gem and a local classic. FA info would be much appreciated.

Location

This is the obvious, drool inducing crack that splits the face.

Protection

Double cams #1-4, an optional 5 for the top to protect 10 feet of 5.6/7 face climbing, + ring anchors.
