Description Suggest change

This route starts directly out of the small "cave/roof". The crux comes after pulling the roof, and then again with a redpoint crux higher before an easier  run to the anchors.  It is a sustained and enjoyable route, and the best currently at the Aqueducts.

Note: Most of these lines can be linked and climbed as "variations" but the uploaded topo is how the original lines were climbed.

-------------------------

Originally named Nero, one of the Roman emperor who reigned during the construction of the Aqueducts. Furthermore, most Roman sources offer overwhelmingly negative assessments of his personality and reign. Most contemporary sources describe him as tyrannical, self-indulgent, and debauched. The historian Tacitus claims the Roman people thought him compulsive and corrupt. As such, Nero felt appropriate as it was the hardest route at the wall during early developments of th Aquaducts; now less so with numerous and newer harder routes. New name still gives a nod while adding an association to water, plus it required a lot of cleaning.

Location Suggest change

The Aqueducts, at the base of the obvious roof

Protection Suggest change

13 bolts, Quick lower SS biners.

Chain draw on the independent line to the right can be used to redirect and clean to avoid lowering over Treason on the Tiber if people are climbing on it.
