Description Suggest change

Start on Makunaima, climb the first crux up to a bulge.  At the bulge, place a high piece and traverse right on cool hueco jugs to a high bolt.  Continue up the steep flake and crack, then work your way up and left onto the steep face (crux).  Climb straight up through another roof onto the upper headwall to a two bolt anchor just passed the lip.

Steve Edwards calls this route a gem, and I have to agree.

Cleaning this route on TR can be a bit of a challenge, especially since the crux is steep and a bit traversing. .  Personally, I lower off, clean everything except the first piece, then retrieve the first piece from the ground.

Location Suggest change

This route climbs the first half of Makunaima then joins the bolted line to the right.

Protection Suggest change

Same gear as Makunaima (I basically use a single rack to #4 BD) plus 5 bolts
