Description
This is a beautiful moderate in a stunning location. Much better climbing and a tad more difficult than Christmas Tree Gully. Can be split up into two short pitches or one long one. Many lines possible. Like other Poke-O climbs, beware of the sun, but this one is usually pretty fat and well-bonded. Unnamed in Blue Lines 2 but if anyone has any information on its actual name please let me know.
Location
Approach: Option 1: Hike the Observer's Trail until the climb can be seen off to the left just above the beaver pond, roughly 1 3/4 miles or 45-60 mins of walking. Option 2: Hike the Ranger Trail until the lean-to, then follow the Observer's Trail for a short distance downhill until the beaver pond is reached.
There are a few start options once at the base of the route. Besides just starting at the actual base of the climb, there is a ledge 1/3 of the way up on the left. Climbing from here can be top-roped with a 70m rope.
Descent: Walk off left down through the forest.
