Warning Access Issue: Some areas, no climbing - Jan. 1st through mid-April. Seasonal wildlife closures in Echo Canyon make ice climbing a difficult prospect midwinter (further details below). Additionally, some climbs cross and/or are on private property. Ask permission before crossing obvious private land and fencing. DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

When in this is a really enjoyable moderate multi-pitch ice route with some steep though short steps. The great DRAWBACK is ACCESS. It likely is on private property and one must walk down the Union Pacific track to access hillside. Climb at Own Risk

On big years the first pitch amphitheater has three distinct lines to start the leftmost has not seen a complete ascent to my knowledge, middle is the standard start and rightmost a fun alternative or solo end of day. Walk off skiers left after rapping from 3rd pitch.

Location Suggest change

About 3/4 of a mile down the tracks across Weber River from wall where the Screamers are.

Protection Suggest change

Ice Screws and some slings/cord for rap(s).
