Description Suggest change

Sit start to the right at the base of the crack, as for Straight Razor/Chicken Wings, move left up the crack but then move up using a series of crimps just to the right of the Y-Crack. The V4 grade for this includes using feet to the left of the crack. This can be (and probably has been) done without using feet to the left but it is harder than V4 without the feet on the left.

This is an eliminate so the Y-crack is intended to be off for hands (including layback edge) for this climb (at this grade at least).

Location Suggest change

Right side of the Yosemite boulder, starting as for Straight Razor/Midnight Lichen at the base of the crack, just to the left of the arete. This climb moves up that face, avoiding the Y-crack.

Protection Suggest change

1-2 pads.
