Description
This is a two pitch, beginner sport route developed by Tiffany Blount and Lam Thuy Vo. 1st pitch is 80 feet and 2nd pitch is 80 feet. This is a 5.6, generously bolted sport climb (perfect for beginners) with 13 bolts + 2 anchor Mussy hooks on the first pitch and 12 bolts and 2 anchor Mussy hooks on the 2nd pitch. This route is at the right side of the crag’s base.
There’s a tricky roof on the first pitch that may feel cruxy for new climbers.
The second pitch is a breeze with a beautiful view. Pitch 2 is rated as a 5.3 or 5.4.
History: Mary Jane Patterson was the first African American woman believed to have received a bachelor’s degree in the United States in 1862 at Oberlin College.
