Description Suggest change

The crux is low, between the first and second bolts. There is a runout between the fourth and fifth bolts, but the climbing here is easy.

About the name...In September 1971 a riot broke out in the Attica Correctional Facility in Attica, NY. Over half of the 2200 prisoners took part, taking 42 staff hostage. The state police were called in to restore order. In the process 43 people were killed, 10 staff, 33 inmates. This was, to date, the worst prison riot in this country.

Location Suggest change

At the north end of the Prison Wall is the route, The Gulag.  Attica is about  20 feet left Gulag. It starts by a slight bulge in the cliff line, right above its nameplate. You might want to remove the nameplate temporarily while you climb it.

Protection Suggest change

7 bolts plus mussy hooks.
