ALL SEASONAL CLIMBING CLOSURES FOR CLIMBING AND SLACKLINING WILL BE LIFTED ON FRIDAY, JULY 7TH THIS WEEK.
THANKS, EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP IN OBSERVING RESTRICTIONS DURING THE NESTING SEASON!
There are many seasonal raptor closures with varying dates and specific boundaries. These generally effect The Monument, Kiss of the Lepers, Picnic Lunch Wall and/or Smith Rock group, and possibly elsewhere. These usually run from February to the beginning of August, but each closure is usually shorter than this, and is dependent on the birds' behavior. Description
A fun way to plug some cams after lugging the rack up for Thin Air. A little contrived but good climbing nonetheless. Start up the thin crack of Thin Air's first pitch (5.9+ if the cheater block is not used), then traverse/ undercling the obvious horizontal crack out right, then follow the crack straight up to anchors for Suck My Kiss. You can clip the last bolt of that route or head up straight up to the anchors from your last piece of pro on easy terrain.
Can also be used as a slightly more engaging first pitch for Thin Air.
