Description
After all the work by the C4 crew constructing the new Pumpkintown trail, it felt like we needed a vacation, but why travel.
Look for the vegetated ramp that rises up and right. Follow until you reach the pine tree, sling if you are worried about clipping the first bolt. Cast off onto the slab clipping three bolts. Pull the bulge to the left at the third bolt. Continue up past some thin face climbing and two more bolts. The belay ledge feels solid, but I would still avoid pulling out on it. 6 bolts and a long sling for the tree.
From the belay, move up and left to a shallow groove feature. Keep following bolts until you reach the flake features. Avoid the bad flake with the bolt near it, you can circle it to the right. Get up to another flake feature and place some gear. Move past one more bolt then to the anchors. Bring a #2 and some tricams (or medium sized pro) for this pitch. 6 bolts.
