Description Suggest change

Bolted in 2019 by Stiggles, Tricksy was freed on August 17, 2021 by the Hobbit of Rock, none other than the illustrious Ben Gilkison. Start on Numbah Ten, veer left under the roof near the top, passing 3 bolts and continue up a lovely, airy arete. The arete was toproped back in the glory days, and to my knowledge was first led by either me or Florian Assman, stepping left from Numbah Ten anchor.

The climbing is technical, with strange contortions on small holds all round. The arete is moderate but quite exciting. A worthy addition to the Lower Town Wall.

Location Suggest change

Start on the cool dihedral of #10

Protection Suggest change

The gear is whatever on Numbah Ten and 3 bolts (2 long draws) and a couple of finger cams and small nuts for the arete
