Description

An amazingly consistent splitter but the lichen detracts from the quality. Fingers to a long stretch of off-fingers. A small ledge gives a rest before the off-fingers to fingers upper crack.

Karl's book has this at 120' and a 70m. We had no chance of getting to the ground with a 70. An 80m should work if you go uphill and your belayer climbs up onto a boulder.

Location

On the left side of a sharply sloping gully/slot

Protection

.3-.75, mostly .5-.75

[Hide Comment] We stumbled across the placard for this route in 2013 while floundering up the adjacent choss. The name was “The Fridge”, grade 5.12. There was cold air pouring out of the crack in spring, seemed fitting. A proud and long line. Dec 15, 2023
