Description Suggest change

A beautiful, easy Via Ferrata mostly graded A/B with two short sections C. It leads to Hoschlantsch the highest summit in Grazer Bergland at 1720 m. The descent passes an alpine tavern "Steirischer Jockel" and continues down a well kept trail to a wooden chapell which is also worth a short stop before continuing to the parking lot.

Location Suggest change

From Graz take A9 towards Bruck an der Mur and then S35 until the exit for Mixnitz/Bärenschützklamm. Follow the road to Breitenau and follow the green signs for Franz Scheikl Klettersteig or Jausenstation "Zirbisegger". Follow the road almost until the end and the restaurant "Zirbisegger". Park at the meadow right before the restaurant.

From the parking lot follow the marked trail towards "Schüsselbrunn" (wooden chapell) until a sign with Franz Scheikl Klettersteiges (auch TVN-Klettersteig - about 15 min from parkung lot). Turn left off the marked hiking trail and head uphill. The trail crosse some logging roads and runs through grassy and rocky woods. The start of the Via Ferrata is marked by a sign and the obvious steel cables.
