The Echo Canyon climbing areas are located within the Henefer-Echo Wildlife Management Area. The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources closes all access to the WMA each year from January 1 to the second Saturday in April (and sometimes longer) to protect wintering wildlife.
Description
This route goes up the steep face directly above the trail. It shares a start with You Dropped a Bolt on Me, Baby. The crux is where this route goes left across the steepest section of the face. You'll have to commit to some less than stellar feet to move across to large jug cobbles. Above this section the climbing remains steep but soon eases off to a slabbier angle. Follow the bolts to the namesake chains on the left.
