Description
Lobster Claw:
A fun snow gully on the right wall of Tuckerman Ravine. This can easily be identified for its shape, which resembles a lobster claw from Boott Spur. From the floor of the ravine, ascend a runout gully through shrubbery to the base of the chute. Then climb the 30 degree chute to the Alpine Garden. Midway up there is a split. Most people consider the wider right variation to be Lobster Claw proper. The left variation is not always completely filled in and less direct, but it still goes to the same place. Top out on the Alpine Garden. From here you can click into your skis if you brought up em or continue to the summit.
Descent:
Descend the way you came or use Lion’s Head Winter Route.
