Description

A short and wide crack on a large boulder/pillar with a chockstone halfway up and new shiny anchors with rap rings.

It is an easy climb, maybe not the best for a beginning leader without wide gear.

Location

It is located about 75 feet to the right of the start of Bishop's Terrace on a standalone boulder/pillar. It is hidden from Bishop's Terrace by a large boulder. There is a bay tree to the right of the start and a fallen tree directly in front.

Protection

2 or 3 of each 3’s and 4’s and a .5 or .4. There is a rough edged chockstone about halfway that can be slung. Looks like a 5 and 6 would fit, rather have the extra 4’s.

[Hide Comment] Not terribly difficult, but definitely some tricky off-hands moves with little feet. Awkward climbing. Would say 5.7-5.8 range Oct 21, 2019
[Hide Comment] You can scramble around to the right a couple hundred feet and access the the bolts at the top of this climb to set up a tope rope. Its a tight squeeze behind the manzanita bush but not bad. You will also see more bolts for other climbs along that ridge on your way access this climb. Nov 16, 2021

[Hide Comment] Fun solo or quick easy lead and rap back down if you’re waiting for Bishops to open up on a busy day. Mar 17, 2024
