The Echo Canyon climbing areas are located within the Henefer-Echo Wildlife Management Area. The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources closes all access to the WMA each year from January 1 to the second Saturday in April (and sometimes longer) to protect wintering wildlife.
Description
The right facing dihedral is loose so stay to the right of the line of bolts. The technical crux is getting off the ledge at mid height. The head crux is two bolts after that. You'll have to search for the key holds, especially the only sinker finger lock at Echo.
Location
Just after the end of the hand lines is a right facing corner with a prow sticking out right above. Climb the black streaked rock to the right. You can belay from either the chains directly under the route or the set to the left. The former offers a better view but you are in the line of fire. The latter is safer but it’s harder to see the leader.
