Warning Access Issue: Warning! Stainless steel bolts are suspect near the coast! DetailsDrop down

Description

Some dirty climbing with dangerous bolts/threads to an anchor. I don't recommend anyone doing this climb until the hardware gets replaced. Even then, it's not nearly as fun as its neighbor, Orange Chandeliers to the left.

Location

It starts right above where you pull onto the rock from your boat.

It's easy to lower/rappel back to the startin anchor with a 60m rope.

Protection

Really bad bolts and old threads! The bolts are currently stainless steel and in bad shape

[Hide Comment] We did this route as we waited for our friends to do the first pitch of Orange Chandeliers so that we weren't right on their heels.

If anyone ever replaces the bolts I'll update this description. Until then, I'd stay away from this one. The climbing isn't that great so it may not warrant the replacement cost in my opinion. Feb 15, 2018

[Hide Comment] Don’t climb this. Though it has been *mostly* cleaned and rebolted in order to complete Joob Joob, quality multipitch line (that you should climb), it doesn’t exactly follow this original line.

The original path of Ao Nang Ao Nang exits to the left of the titanium U-bolts part way up and on rusting steel bolts of varying types. Don’t climb this. Just stay on the good U-bolts and climb Joob Joob. Jan 19, 2023
