Warning Access Issue: Historical seasonal raptor closures with 2023 updates DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

Start on the face of a flake to a large alcove in the wall, then move up to an overhang. Once past the overhang, the fun starts. There is a rock projection from the wall. Mantel, then finish with another cruxy move to the anchor.

This climb is not in Tom Hanson's guidebook or any other guidebook I have seen. If someone has info on this climb (FA, name, dates, etc.), please let me know.

That being said, my group of climbing buddies have grown to know this climb as "Meat Market".

Location Suggest change

The climb is located on the wall to the right of Blood Pudding, accessed by a small social trail formed (left) toward the wall, from the main hiking trail. The climb starts in the first main clearing along social trail, to the left of a flake feature, up to a small overhang. Get to the canyon rim via access trail to the North (or any other scramble) to set up an anchor.

Protection Suggest change

A pair of bolted anchors.
