Description
Great moderate route with a crux that makes you think about half way up. Since it is a brand new route, it is a little dirty towards the top, but that should cleanup with more climbers on the wall.
Location
Located on Clear Creek Crag- two routes left of 12 pack (10c) and on wall right of arete with Excellent Ella (5.6)

[Hide Comment] Broke a good size hold at top, luckily I was on toprope. I believe that some of the rock in areas that seep or are less steep and more open to rain and snow can become comprimised with time,and/or freeze- thaw cycle. Use caution on areas that are otherwise easier terrain.

[Hide Comment] I clean send this as a warm up feels like soft 5.9 the crux is actually easiest if you just keep moving toward the chains. And use the good horizontal crack for feet to rest on the 4th bolt before you commit to the slightly strong finish. You really don’t need a stick clip on this route.

[Hide Comment] Pretty sizable hold broke off recently... doesn't affect this climb much but you can see in the pictures someone using it as a far left foot climbing the 12a to the right!

[Hide Comment] Some of the more-loved footholds on this route have been worn slick. Still usable, but give your shoes and extra wipe off and prepare yourself mentally

[Hide Comment] Crux for me on this one was the move just after clipping the 4th bolt. I never found good foot placement going direct, and the little pockets for my fingers had water pooled in them, making the move a bit challenging.

[Hide Comment] Damn! Lotta strong climbers at the Mad! I've been climbing a little over 34 years. Granted a older and fatter now and I love limestone and understand the polished nature. Have not fallen on a 5.9 and well over 20 years. Top roping this rig, had to pull through the crux. I'll start training and maybe I can send this after a few years. Really did love the climb and movement. Just wish I could do more of the moves! Midwestern climbers strong! Cheers!
