Temporary closures to Cunningham Falls April 1 through (estimated) July, with no access to the Cliff Trail Boulders.
Notice from Maryland Park Service regarding sewer line renovation/replacement and effects on access to Cunningham Falls (from dnr.maryland.gov):
news.maryland.gov/dnr/2024/… PLEASE CLEAN YOUR CHALK AND TIC MARKS AFTER CLIMBING ON THE BOULDERS. The Cliff Trail Boulders are along the trail used by many visitors to the park, and marks are easily noticed by all who pass by. Unsightly marks and failure to clean up marks on the boulders may result in decreased access to these resources by park superintendents. Thank you for being clean and courteous to all guests of Cunningham Falls State Park.
Description
Start on large sloping jug on far left (downhill) side of flat face of boulder. Traverse up the lip and top out on jugs at highest point of boulder
Location
On long face of Shartreuse boulder, the first boulder ~10 ft uphill of Flying Squirrel
